Opened in 1968, Doune is the home of the only round of the British Hillclimb Championship to be held in Scotland currently. The course is fast and flowing, requiring total commitment from drivers. The first half includes the daunting section known as Tunnel, which makes the course feel very narrow, whilst the second half after Junction corner includes the challenge of East Brae and The Esses. It is no wonder that Doune is known as “King of the Hills”.
