The Wiscombe Park hillclimb course was built in 1958 and extended in 1961. The following year it was added to the British Hillclimb Championship calendar and it has hosted the UK’s premier championship every year since then. Achieving a fast time at Wiscombe Park requires maximum commitment from start to finish. The second half of the course is notoriously challenging, with the camber changes of The Esses followed by the tight hairpins of Sawbench and Martini before the finish line.
