It's A Family Affair ...
Huge congratulations to Matt Ryder, the 2026 British Hillclimb Champion and indeed to all the Ryder family! Because behind every championship there’s a story, and this one really is a family affair. Mum Caroline and wife Kirsten are drivers too, and now there’s the littlest member of Team Ryder growing up in the paddock as well. Three generations, one shared passion and a really special weekend for them all.
It’s also a lovely reminder of what makes hillclimbing so special. Yes, it’s about the cars, the speed and those precious fractions of a second but it’s also about families, friendships and generations sharing the hills together.
Congratulations Matt, and all of Team Ryder. What a way to finish the season.
PS. Thanks for letting us share the photos too Caroline Ryder!
