The Queen's Hill - Houyet 2026
We thought you might like a look back at Round 8 of the Belgian Hill Climb Championship and the 41st running of the Course de Côte de Houyet, held on 12-13 September 2026.
Known as “The Queen’s Hill”, Houyet is one of the oldest events on the Belgian calendar, with a wonderful course winding through the village.
Practice took place in the dry, but the weather had other ideas for the timed runs, bringing wet conditions and an extra challenge for a full entry of National and Provincial competitors.
Despite the rain, they put on a fantastic show for the hardy spectators who turned out to watch.
Brilliantly organised by Écurie Bayard, with the paddock spread throughout the village, Houyet has that special atmosphere that we love about hillclimbing. It's a great competition, a great event and, most importantly, great people.
