Performance Factor: Is It Time for UK Hillclimbing to Take a Closer Look?

In the latest issue of HSA Magazine, Paul Parker raises an interesting question around the use of the FIA Performance Factor system as a potential way of attracting more entries into Sprinting.

It's a discussion that could be equally relevant to hillclimbing.

The system is already used within FIA hillclimbing, and Hillclimbing.org, has been taking a closer look at Performance Factor and how it operates in European competition.

With attracting and retaining competitors an important issue for the future of the sport, could Performance Factor provide another route into competition and is it something UK hillclimbing should be exploring more closely?

We'd be interested to hear what competitors, organisers and enthusiasts think.
