First used in 1946, Val de Terres became a British Hillclimb Championship venue is 1972. The short yet challenging course starts on the picturesque South Esplanade and follows the main road out of St Peter Port heading south. Although the twisty lower section is lined by stone walls, drivers have to be fully committed from the start to achieve a good time. They also need to demonstrate their skill at the top, as they sweep through the left-hand bend and narrow right-hand hairpin just before the finish.

Couse length: 777 metres (850 yards)
